About Us
Sew In Love’s Inception:
“What am I truly passionate about?” asked Sew In Love Textile Artist, Julie Weber-Grice, of herself after leaving Corporate America in 1998. The answer was to unfold beautifully with a few short months.
At the same time as her first grandson was being born, Julie purchased her first Babylock® embroidery sewing machine in the summer of 1998. Immediately, she felt inspired to start designing custom keepsakes for the baby. Friends and family members were so impressed that orders began rollin in overnight. Her loved ones insisted she create personalized gifts for all of their special occasions as well.
Julie’s success with those first few items piqued her entrepreneurial interest. So she began taking steps to create her own unique company. She stayed true to her desire to provide the marketplace with her best textile artistry. Thus, remarkable quality, consistency, and service all became natural by-products of doing what she loved. Sew In Love offered her a way to infuse two of her passions: textile artistry and children – into one business.
Julie started by making limited edition keepsakes for craft shows and instantly met with tremendous success. She was encouraged to expand her inventory and catalogue of offerings. And soon, she was traveling to large trade expos to accommodate increasing demand for her exquisite designs and impeccable attention to detail.
In the fall of 2005, Julie purchased her first commercial embroidery machine in order to efficiently fill multiple and repeat orders from corporate clients, sports clubs, and service organizations. And, by the spring of 2006, she joined BNI® the world’s largest referral-based business organization in order to become a greater resource to her clients and colleagues. A little over two years later she became an Area Director and helps to train and maintain BNI® chapters in her region. She considers her position a way to “pay it forward” and focuses on education business owners on how to succeed using proven word-of-mouth marketing strategies. We are happy to report Sew In Love has been experiencing record growth ever since.
From Whence Came the Name:
Like all of us, Julie remembers her mother’s cooking being the best. Friends and family members were always asking for her culinary secrets. She never forgot that all of her mother’s recipes always added one simple extra step: Don’t forget to “Stir in Love.”
To carry on the tradition of excellence in her business, Julie named her company “Sew In Love.” The name serves as a reminder to ensure that each order is filled with extra care and love. Her gifts originated from her family’s traditions to help create your family’s treasures.
